05 Sep Community Outreach Coordinator’s Update
What a lovely summer we have all had, long may the sunny weather continue!! We have had a busy few weeks here at the church with the dig day, Wedding Fayre, carboot and various trips and outings.
The Wedding Fayre although quiet has helped to raise the church’s profile on social media and with local wedding suppliers. We are planning to have another Wedding Fayre in the winter- possibly 2019 or 2020-watch this space for more details nearer the time.
Now we have got summer out of the way thoughts are turning to the Christmas Fair, I would like to invite outside stall holders to sell their crafts at the Christmas fair in order to get new people coming to the church and seeing what a lovely friendly bunch we all are, as well as generating more income. This might mean that the regular stall holders might need to have slightly less space per person than they have had in the past but there will still be plenty of space for everybody as usual.
I have tried to find an overall organiser for the fayre but it seems to be that people are in charge of their individual stalls so I have taken over the coordinating of the fayre- please can everyone who usually has a stall let me know what they sell and what space they usually have. If anyone would like to help me organise things it would be very much appreciated!!
I have already begun advertising so fingers crossed for a good turnout!!
As always if any one has any ideas of things they would like to see run at the church or groups they would like set up please do come and see me!!
