Remembrance weekend

Remembrance weekend

10th November from 11 am

We are holding an event in church to coincide with the 100th anniversary or the end of the First World War. The church will be decorated with flags of the nations involved in the conflict and also there will be a slide show of images to reflect upon.

We will have an interactive display of artifacts from the First World War as modern day army kit so you are able to make comparisons as well as though provoking displays done by local children on the impact locally of the war as well as further afield.

Teas and coffees as well as cakes will be available to purchase from the church through out the day.

In the evening we hope to have a speaker come to talk to us about the war on a more broader scale as well as local impact- more details to follow.
