Crowe where the troubled-world can gather and broken hearts can mend. Crowe, where His love comes ever closer and the Spirit can descend. Crowe, where Jesus walks beside you in the guise of a friend.
.
Welcomed to Crowe with a traditional Ghana greeting - a loaf of bread 'torn and shared' - we entered upon our theme: 'Love in the Forest’.
'Love for Jesus' expressed in loud worship songs - you shout when you believe in something - and then into quiet praise, between us and God. Out into the forest, to find what reminded us of Jesus; what is good in God's world and where has the impact of man been good?.
‘Love for God's world’ questioned if, in the loveliness of Crowe, were we just indulging in escapism?. In the song: 'As the deer pants for the water1, the deer drinks out of necessity - we come, a bit like the star-gazer (who leaves the city to see the stars more clearly) - to communicate with God more clearly..
After lunch, in a nearby cottage garden, we demonstrated 'Love for each other1 - a group 'hug-in' led to each telling the other 'Jesus loves you'. Urged to talk to someone new, (which a group of our ladies took as instruction to chat up a local fisherman!), we showed 'Love for our neighbours'.
Grace was shared outside in the glorious sunshine.
Thanks to John and helpers.
Brian.
