By the time you read this I will be on sabbatical. I mention that not as a reminder to contact Rev. Stephen Wright, whilst I’m away, and not me (but please do that!), but as inevitably I am thinking about change.
Its been a great month as things have started to get back to normal for us! We have had Little Lambs restarting and so far has been very popular! We have had new families coming each week and some familiar faces too- a huge thankyou to Saffron, Brian J and Margaret T for supporting little lambs and helping to run it!

The weather has finally started to perk up and things are looking cheerful once again!! We have a few exciting events taking place at PMC over the coming few months- on the 9th March we are holding a church car boot sale. Tables are just £10 each with all funds going towards the church cafe project- its a perfect time to do a spring declutter so let me know if you’d like to book a space.

In the few days before writing this article the Archbishops of Canterbury and York have tabled a motion accusing the leaders of a particular country of stifling the reconciliation of social divisions
What will the New Year bring? How will it be for me? These type of questions are those we might ask ourselves at the turning of the year. For some a new year can’t come quickly enough, “I’ll be glad to see the back of 2018” is the sentiment for some I know who have had a terrible 2018 with illness or other events in their lives
Thankyou to everyone who came along to the Remembrance event held in church on the 10th November- we had over 80 people come along through the day and evening. Please pray with me that some of these new people coming into the church will come back and perhaps explore faith with us here.

Back to school. The start of September. These were phrases which used to stir up mixed emotions in me when I was teacher. On the one hand it meant an end to the long summer holiday
What a lovely summer we have all had, long may the sunny weather continue!! We have had a busy few weeks here at the church with the dig day, Wedding Fayre, carboot and various trips and outings.

I know that many of you are avid readers. Judging by the books that are bought at church fairs or borrowed from church bookshelves I’d say that novels are much more popular than theological books; not a criticism just an observation
